Current Programs

English as a Second Language (ESL)

This program was born from the heart of the church with the purpose of empowering our immigrant community, providing them with tools that not only allow them to communicate better in their daily lives, but also open doors to job, academic, and active participation opportunities in society.

Learning English is more than a language: it is a tool of dignity, inclusion, and hope. That is why churches committed to the wellbeing of their communities have come together to offer a safe and welcoming space where we can learn and grow together.

Currently, we offer:

  • Basic Level: For those taking their first steps in the language, focused on essential vocabulary, everyday expressions, and basic communication skills.
  • Intermediate Level: Designed for those who already have basic knowledge and want to strengthen grammar, conversation, and listening comprehension.
  • Advanced Level Reading Club: An initiative for those who already handle English with greater fluency. We meet one or two Saturdays a month to read and discuss books in English, improve vocabulary, and deepen cultural and literary understanding.

Classes are held as follows:

In-Person Classes:

  • Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Sundays from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Virtual Classes:

Virtual classes are offered based on request and require a minimum group of five participants to be scheduled.

It is important to note that this program is not free. Each participant must make a monthly contribution that helps sustain the program and covers all the study materials provided to students.

To pass the level in which they are enrolled, students must:

  1. Pass the corresponding exams, which evaluate the progress they have achieved.
  2. Attend at least 80% of the scheduled classes.

We deeply thank the churches, volunteers, and leaders who make this project possible. Your commitment to justice, hospitality, and education transforms lives and builds bridges of connection between the church and the community.
